Overview
Our Family Forest Play program sets those first roots of wonder, imagination and discovery. With the support of adult caregivers and Wonder Roots play facilitators, children have opportunities for individual and group play amidst a beautiful wooded area equipped with opportunities to climb, jump and swing, materials for building and space to explore.
This program takes place at our South Burlington location in our outdoor classroom with 5+ acres of woods to explore.

Our "Once Upon a Forest" sessions are a magical, storybook springboard for outdoor play! Designed for toddlers and preschoolers alongside their caregivers, each week begins with captivating children's picture book that sparks our imagination.
From there, our story comes to life through child-led loose-parts building, sensory adventures, mud-kitchen creations, and woodland exploration. We surround each session with a curated seasonal book basket, blending early literacy with the raw freedom of nature play.
Minimum enrollment of 6 families required to run this session.
Session Cost:
$84 per child
$126 per family (automatically configured at check-out with multiple children)

Wonder Roots forest programs are 100% outside and include plenty of time and space in our woodland setting where participants can increase confidence, creativity and community. Using emergent, inquiry-based curriculum practices, our programs allow for flexibility based on interest, seasonal changes and community need. With a careful and intentional balance of adult facilitated support, we aim to challenge children in new ways, fostering a sense of independence and a greater sense of self.

In striving to build a connected community, Forest Playgroup runs in 6-week seasonal sessions. We see the biggest growth with children who have consistent opportunities to connect with the same peers, adults, and environment. Families also love the deep friendships that grow from seeing the same faces each week!
Tuition & Enrollment: Tuition covers the full 6-week session. We are not offering single-day drop-ins this spring.
Sibling Discounts: We DO offer sibling discounts! These are automatically calculated at check-out.
Joining Late? Mid-session enrollment is available at a pro-rated amount pending availability.
Payment: Full payment is required to complete registration. Payment plans are available upon request.
After submitting your program registration, you will need to login to the customer portal to complete payment.
