the arts, music & athletics with her knowledge of nature & social sciences to foster hands-on, creative educational environments. As the owner and founder of Wonder Roots LLC, she provides educational consulting and outdoor education programming to the Greater Burlington, VT area and beyond. She has over 20 years of experience in education working with ages birth to adult and holds VT teaching license endorsements in ECE birth to grade three, and grades 7-12 Social Studies.

Colleen is a mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister, community member. As her layers peel off, you’ll find she’s forever curious and a big nerd to many interests– often getting sucked down random "rabbit holes". She can be silly and light hearted, despite being hard on herself. Colleen tells her family that she is magical (they roll their eyes). She is a master “figure-outer”-- from DIY skills, to understanding people & issues. She thrives on the “path less taken” as a way to stay curious, gain perspective, break from the norm, and most importantly, rediscover the roots of what makes us human.
