Growth and development is essential, not only to children, but with adults too. Wonder Roots Workshops, Coaching and School Partnerships provide an interactive approach to professional learning where educators learn strategies that empower their practices. Adults have the unique ability to shape the future for the better and this begins through our work with children.
Wonder Roots offers virtual and in-person workshops, and mentorships through professional learning communities (PLC). Led by Colleen Christman, workshops provide practical, evidence-based strategies that empower educators with developmentally appropriate solutions. In person workshops take a hands on approach to learning where participants have an opportunity to learn by doing, and our virtual workshops offers a visual-rich experience-- both aimed to inspire educators with ideas they can implement in their programs and classrooms.
We understand the importance of ongoing support, and realize that there is a lot on educators' plates! We offer multiple levels of support through coaching and school partnerships.
Let us take on the work of planning while you gain valuable inspiration for student-centered learning! We partner with schools or individual classrooms in order to bring our innovative P.L.A.N.T. Ed. curriculum to students at your site or our Hinesburg or South Burlington locations.
We offer on-going support for educators looking to instill change in their own school and classroom environments. We combine our outdoor programs with professional development for a deeper level of on going support. 1:1 and PLC/group services available. Please contact us to find out more.
Feedback from Past School Partners
"We learned more about our students after one day of observing them at Wonder Roots than we would have after a week in the traditional classroom. This has helped shape the start of our school year."
- Teacher at Davis Community School, South Burlington
"Our students had so much fun in the woods! We saw kids working together who normally don't interact with each other at school. The kids were so excited and engaged."
