Pop-Up Play

May 6- Teddy Bear Tea Party

Our woodland friends are having a party and you're invited! Join us on a bear-hunt where you'll discover forest friends and loads of fun. Families will have the opportunity to create concoctions in the mud kitchen, create your own bear dens, and celebrate friendship and family with garden-inspired crafts. This experience is designed in an open-ended way to encourage creativity, collaboration and fun for ages 2-8. Infant siblings are welcome to tag along.

June 10- Not A Box Cardboard Creations

Based on one of our favorite books, Not A Box by Antoinette Portis, this Pop-Up Play event is all about imagination, creativity and CARDBOARD! Join us for the ultimate construction opportunity-- create epic cardboard creations both big and small, blast off into summer with air-powered paper rockets and find new ways to explore the outdoors. We'll supply the materials, you bring the ideas. This experience is designed in an open-ended way to encourage creativity, collaboration and fun for ages 2-8. Infant siblings are welcome to tag along.
Our events are generally rain or shine, but due to the nature of the materials for this event, we have scheduled a rain date of June 17.



ReRooted

Ground yourself in nature, community and creativity. We recognize that parents need space to breathe and opportunities to get outside, meet others, and share ideas, stories and support. ReRooted is an adult program designed for parents & caregivers with ages infant to teen and will include an open-ended guided experience, followed by a facilitated fire-side chat. We will provide light refreshments and a fire-side treat. Space is limited to 15 participants in order to foster expanded conversation. To make this event more accessible to our community, registration price is based on a sliding scale. At check-out, choose the pricing level that works best for you.

April 16- Encouraging Outdoor Play

Sunday. 4:00-6:30pm
Hinesburg
Explore our woodland site and discover ways to create simple outdoor spaces for children. We'll investigate how to use loose parts and natural materials to create simple woodland play spaces. Gather around the fire with soup, hot beverages and share ideas on ways to encourage outdoor play at home.

Additional Information:

  • All team members are background checked. A team member will always be certified in first aid and CPR. Toilets are available in the main building.
  • The specifics about this program will be e-mailed to you a few days in advance.
  • Programs are 100% outdoors. Weather appropriate attire is required.
